Abstract:

The article focuses on a significant but relatively understudied segment of Bulgarian journalism – the media published by the Bulgarian diaspora around the world. The text examines migrant media through their informational and integration functions, but also as guardians of the history and cultural memory of the communities. The main aim of the article is to present the migrant media (in particular the Bulgarian-language ones published in Europe) as new research fields through which knowledge about the Bulgarian diaspora can be complemented and built upon.
