Abstract:

The article aims to briefly examine the interstate relations of the Bulgarian state under the successors of the Bulgarian Tsar Ivan Asen II both with its Balkan neighbours and with the West. It is traced in the paper, whether there were any changes during the reigns of the sons of Ivan Asen in the foreign policy of the Bulgarian state. The period that the article examines briefly and concisely, with the most important moments, is from 1241 to 1256.
