Abstract:
Transport infrastructure plays an important role in the relations between the two Iberian countries Portugal and Spain. Its development began after the entry of the two countries in the European Union in 1986, and especially after the accession of the Schengen area on 26 March 1995 availability of the border area in recent years, characterized by significantly improved permeability, resulting the development of road infrastructure and the expansion of the river perimeter associated with the recently constructed bridge over the river Minho and Douro.
