Резюме:

The aim of the paper is to review the situation and the trends in the development of tourism in Bulgaria in the period 2014–2018. It analyses the dynamics of major economic indicators that characterize the tourism industry in the country, and of the Hotel and Restaurant Industry, in particular. The final part of the paper summarizes the findings and the conclusions on the topic and proposes specific measures aimed at sustainability of the achieved results. The paper is based on statistical information published on the websites of national and international institutions and organizations, analyzed with a number of research methods like comparative analysis, factor analysis, grouping, description, etc.
