Резюме:

The scientific report reviews the models for healthcare financing, which have been established in the world practice. A study of the current state of the main ones was conducted – a tax-based model, a model based on social health insurance revenues, a model based on health insurance revenues and a model based on a system of personal health accounts combined with budget subsidies. Following the example of individual countries, the peculiarities of the functioning of these models are clarified and their advantages and disadvantages are presented. Based on the world experience, proposals have been made for improving the model for healthcare financing in Bulgaria.
