Achieving satisfactory results in accomplish the goals of a control or other structure is an indicator of good risk management, the implementation of appropriate control mechanisms and the adequate management of processes and activities. The aim is to follow up the extent of implementation of the set goals and the identified irregularities, fraud and corrupt practices in the period 2013–2019. In this context, a comparative analysis of the strategic objectives achieved and the activities implemented with the new priority areas identified. The results of the activities described and recommendations and guidelines for the future development of the Bulgarian National Audit Office are given. This helps to achieve the optimum level of goals set.
