In the recent decades, transformations are happening in industrial companies at a great scale, focusing not only on digitalizing products and services, but also on business models, processes and value chains. For many high performing market leaders, it is important to pursue the balance between order and dynamics in order to maintain or increase competitiveness and efficiency in highly challenging market. In the context of the dynamic times in which we live and the new challenges the managers at different level are facing, the researches show that most companies are not successful in business transformations. The report focuses on integration of lean and agile concept with currents management systems and their adaptation to the specific conditions in the organization, using data from independent studies on the scale of use and the results of the implementation of these systems. Special attention is given to digital transformations as a mandatory part of the organization‘s management. The report traces the steps in development and management of complex systems in enterprises through auxiliary systems – from the first implementation of ERP, through the birth of the lean concept for efficient production, to modern agile, or flexible, methodology, always aiming at optimization and high efficiency.
