Резюме:

The report presents the financing opportunities provided by the funds of the European Union funds for the development of the Bulgarian regions in 2024. The data announced in the indicative annual work programs of the individual financing programs, according to which the municipalities meet the conditions and guidelines for applying as eligible beneficiaries, are analyzed. Within the framework of the development, an emphasis was placed specifically on the municipalities, which is dictated by their role as main beneficiaries and engines for achieving sustainable growth in the different individual spheres of the public sector, established during the past two program periods. As part of the 2021–2027 programming period, European funding in 2024 is presented both with an exceptional aid intensity and characterized by the application of an integrated approach to the development of the regions. The latter, as a new tool for our country in the implementation of the cohesion policy of the European Union, is considered the responsibility of the municipalities as bodies of local self-government, to which the expectations for closer cooperation with the other interested parties in search of effective solutions for the community are strengthened.
