The need to provide quality education, defined by the international framework applied in the national legislation, determines the education of students of Veliko Tarnovo University „St. St. Cyril and Methodius“ from professional field 3.4. Social activities. Social work in the conditions of reform brings out the need for new staff to be realized in the field of social work. Social work is popular in society with a negative appearance, this motivates the author to explore the attitudes of students of VTU from professional field 3.4. Social activities for employment in the field. The author‘s survey shows a positive attitude towards work on the part of students, but there are also preferences for a certain group of clients and a certain type of jobs, and the possibility that expectations towards social work do not meet reality.
