Резюме:
The congress tourism market consists of two main elements: demand and supply, with the
demand side represented by delegates—individual members of associations and employees of corporations. The supply aspect encompasses all factors within a given destination that enable a specific
event to take place.
The supply factors within a congress destination can also be analyzed through the presence of certain
critical success factors necessary for entering the international congress market, such as communication, reception, and attractiveness.
Supply in the congress industry is, to some extent, based on the general tourism supply, particularly services related to accommodation and dining provided by hotels. However, due to the specific
requirements of business tourists, the role and significance of hotels take on an entirely new dimension. The complexity of the needs and requirements of business guests impacts the complexity of the
congress product of the destination and necessitates the involvement of a larger number of service
providers to cover all elements required for the successful organization of a given event.
A core group of supply representatives is essential for the realization of events—destination management organizations, hotels, congress centers and similar venues, destination management companies,
professional congress organizers, and association management companies. The report describes and
analyzes these actors in detail—their characteristics, specific features, requirements, and contributions to the sector.
