Foundations are a type of non-profit organizations created to achieve certain ideal goals. In carrying out their activities, foundations are faced with many challenges and risky situations. Awareness of potential threats will assist in the development of solutions for their timely overcoming. The aim of this paper is to outline the most important challenges such as providing funds for the foundations’ activities, attracting volunteers committed to the mission, and creating an accounting system that meets the requirements of the regulations and the various users.
