Abstract:

Since the beginning of time, hypnosis has been largely utilized in the field of medicine and psychiatry. However, recently, hypnosis has found its practical use in a few legal systems proposing a rather intriguing approach in numerous legal aspects. The importance of hypnosis has increased tremendously in the past few years in the subject area of criminal law, putting forward a fairly important question whether a person should be held criminally responsible for committing a crime in a state of hypnosis.
