Abstract:

This article examines three of the most important international acts dealing with climate change, namely the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the two protocols to the Convention – the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. Furthermore, the paper reviews the main principles, objectives, and mechanisms of the three agreements. It summarizes their significance and shows their impact on the Bulgarian legislation with reference to specific acts.
