Abstract:

The issue of right to the city has been raised for the first time within the context of the Bulgarian public law. The emphasis is laid on the big city as an essential public system, whose purpose is to ensure the smooth co-existence of millions of people. The direct connection between local self-government and the rights of the citizens has been studied. The right to the city has been formulated as an integral part of them. The right to the city is seen as the right of an individual to guaranteed rights and opportunities at different levels.
