Abstract:
This study is dedicated to the defense of poor defendants in criminal proceedings. Discussed are the preconditions for the appointment of defense counsel in cases where the defendant cannot afford a lawyer, wishes to have and the interests of justice so require. Analyzed is the jurisprudence and practice of the European Court of Human Rights. Proposals were made on addendum to legislation.
