Abstract:

The presentation is based on the statements of a group of forums organized by ICOM and UNESCO, dedicated to problems of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). In the focus of the presentation the author will put the specific nature of ICH as living heritage, its local nature, as well as its fragility in the contemporary globalization era. In addition, special attention will also be paid to the changing functions of the Museum within this context and the Bulgarian experience in the sphere of ICH will be presented and discussed.
