Abstract:
Article presents results of ethnographic study of several Macedonian charshiyas. Those former production and market centers survived until nowadays changing their main economic and communication aspects. The study is concentrated on contemporary messages which are embodied in symbols of the charshiyas’ space as well as the memories of contemporary Macedonians.
