Abstract:
This article is dedicated to the joint trade with fats of animal origin (marrow, tallow, and marrow tallow) of the “Hadji Mincho Hadji Tsachev and Co.” company and brothers Hristo and Nikola Tapchileshtov. It is a continuation of a study in which the economic relations between the entities mentioned are examined in the context of their trade in metals (copper, iron, and steel). The publication is based on information acquired from previously unused archival documents (mainly transcripts of letters), the vast majority of which were written in Greek. It presents information about the regions from which the trading company used to provide fats of animal origin, the routes they used to send them to the Tapchileshtov brothers in Constantinople, as well as other details of the economic activity considered.
