Резюме:

The songs about choosing a stanenik are in direct assistance of the rite. They serve as a particular self-description of the mythoritualistic scheme of the choice and therefore this representation becomes a model followed by the participants (koledari) of this ritual. The act of entrusting the rights by the “old” to the “young” stanenik takes place in the designated cult center for rituals in the eve of the transmission from “old” to “new” year where the “old” participant bears the characteristics of a shaman. The names (Petar Banov, Bogdan, young Todorcho, young Nikolcho, Radoslav) are a result from some steady preserved clichés connected to the mythoritualistic functions and relations to the calendar.
