In this article, we mainly present the activities of the Yambol branch of the Bulgarian Women’s Union “Love for the Motherland”, taking into account the denunciations and reports of the law enforcement authorities in Yambol. Our purpose is to go into the organizational life and structure of the poorly known Bulgarian Women’s Union “Love for the Motherland” – Yambol branch, in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Documents from the Yambol State Archives related to the activities of the association in question will be introduced for the first time in the scientific turnover. The topicality of this article is determined by the lack of studies on the activities of the Yambol branch of the Bulgarian Women‘s Union “Love for the Motherland“, particularly on the role of women’s organizations in the social life of Yambol.
