Резюме:

In the current article, the authors have presented both the monuments built in connection with the Bulgarian National Revival in Veliko Tarnovo in the period 1879–1944, and the discussed projects about those that remained unrealized. The ideas that appeared and reached a different level of social popularity, as well as their (lack of) realization are assumed in the context of the sociopolitical development of Bulgarian society. The monuments, erected at the end of the 19th and in the first half of the 20th centuries, dedicated to people who had participated in the struggles for national liberation, were recognized as symbolic places where the public of Veliko Tarnovo officially celebrates important events and holidays. Their presence in the social life of Veliko Tarnovo is an expression of deep gratitude to the figures from the Bulgarian Revival Age.
