Резюме:
The school as an institution is not only a tool for communicating cultural
values, but it is also a place where culture is created and identity is formed. In this
respect, the subject of History and Civilizations is of particular importance. This article
aims to trace the normative documentation related to school history education
in order to highlight the potential of the Bulgarian cultural heritage as a resource in
history education.
