Abstract:

The paper presents the nature and the meaning of the information warfare in contemporary international relations. Information and the way it could be used can be seen as a weapon which is capable to influence over different economic, political processes and the consciousness and attitudes of the society in any particular country. In this regard, internet space and social networks are transforming into the main information weapon for conducting “color revolutions” in different countries around the world.
