Digital-Technological Solutions of the Tennis Gala Sports Event on BTV Action

Abstract:

On September 17, a Tennis Gala was held in Arena Sofia Hall - an exhibition match in which the most successful Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov defeated the Olympic champion from the Paris 2024 Games, Novak Djokovic – the Serbian professional who won 24 Grand Slam men’s single titles. The match was organized by “Grigor Dimitrov” Charitable Foundation. Entering the court after a magnificent light show, the two players offered a beautiful game and enjoyed entertaining moments that over 13, 000 spectators supported. The memorable tennis spectacle was one of the most significant media sports events which in an exclusive partnership with bTV was broadcast on three digital platforms. The programming of the tennis match demonstrates modern technological solutions, and practical experience of the new digital generation in the production with high-quality news content, which the audience has not seen in such an event before. The delivery of information through technological solutions is a multimedia newsroom advancement used regularly in sports newscasts and has the privilege of being transferred to special programming. The thesis of the paper is that high-quality journalism can be sustained by technological solutions for more understandable, attractive, and meaningful news value of illustrated information in news events.
