Abstract:
The rapid advancement of digital technology has raised concerns over electronic censorship and its effects on the digital knowledge society. This study explores how censorship impacts knowledge creation, dissemination, and utilization from the perspective of university professors. Using an electronic and paper-based questionnaire, 111 valid responses were analyzed with SPSS v26. Results show that censorship does not significantly affect digital knowledge creation but does hinder dissemination and utilization, influencing multiple dimensions of the digital society. The study underscores the importance of understanding censorship’s role in shaping knowledge environments and stresses the need to balance knowledge freedom with digital security for a sustainable future.
