Abstract:

The article deals with the presentation of man in one nearly unexamined part of traditional Bulgarian folklor – the oscene expressions. Metaphorical approach of Lakoff and Johnson´s type is used. The prescientific knowledge about person (qualities, emotional states, activity, abstract koncepts), hidden in the figurative expressions (metaphors, metonymies, similes and others) is organized by the general mental model: Man is his vita sexualis.
