Abstract:

The article tackles one’s personal vocabulary as a systematic phenomenon with its own structure and outlines the basic collective units determining its specificity. Presenting one’s personal vocabulary as part of the lexical system of the Bulgarian language, which is known, recognized and used to a different extent by everyone, means to register and systematize both what the individual knows and what they do not. Isolating the agnonyms and taronyms reveals the attitude a particular linguistic individual displays towards the elements of their own lexicon and the way these elements exist in their mind.
