Abstract:

Homage to Jerzy Rusek, a world famous Polish Slavicist specializing in Bulgarian and other Balkan languages; his work on the Bulgarian language includes Declension and Use of Cases in the Chludow’s Triode. A Study of the Development of Analytical Forms in Bulgarian (1964), Studies of the History of the Bulgarian Vocabulary (1984) and History of Occupational Names in Slavic Languages (1996). Prof. Rusek holds honorary doctoral degrees from Sofia University (1998) and the University of Plovdiv (1999).
