Cognition and Syntax: The Grammar of Predication

Abstract:

The article presents a cognitive analysis of the morphological nature of predication explication at a syntactic level. The analysis is based on the principle of cognitive matching. It proposes a third axis in the coordinate system of language – consciousness, or the phenomenal zero – and emphasizes the dialectical interrelationship in grammar. The article also refines the definition of the main parts of the sentence, emphasizing their absolute equality and independence.
