Abstract:

The aim of this scientific paper is to present the concepts of participles as class words, as are presented in the development of linguistic science. The question of the categorial status of the participles can be described as one of the “unsolvable” problems of linguistics. On the background of traditionally established models will try to focus on “problematic” status of participles in Modern Greek, will point out the need to update the criteria for the differentiation of participial subsystem.
