Abstract:

The presentation focuses on the haiku genre and its general rationalization and application in literature teaching and learning. The goal is not the writing of an authentic haiku by the pupils, but the contemplation, concentration and discovering the beauty of the moment with an attempt at describing and expressing an emotional state. Its possible result: a positive change with the pupil as a poetry reader. Haiku writing techniques are discussed as found in research texts and fiction.
