Socio-Economic Analyses is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, scientific and scientific-educational journal published by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" since 2006. Its purpose is to contribute to the scientific development of the social and economic sciences, as well as related fields of study. The journal is intended for a wide range of readers, including researchers, practitioners, students, and anyone interested in the research topics it covers. Through its publications, the journal fosters an environment of intensive scientific exchange and discussion on a variety of issues related to the development of the Bulgarian and global economies, management, social issues, tourism, and more.
The journal is published twice a year, in June and December. It contains research results from academics, as well as papers on significant and current issues focusing on theory, analysis or empiricism. The types of publication include articles, reviews, feedback and book reviews. The journal also publishes various scientific and methodological materials on issues in higher education, focusing on the economy, management, the social sphere and tourism.
The journal welcomes submissions from authors outside the university (in Bulgaria and other countries), which correspond to the thematic focus and accepted publication requirements. In order to provide access to a wider range of authors and readers within the international scientific community, the journal permits published materials to be written in either Bulgarian or English.

To this end, the journal's editorial board adheres to a clear policy of upholding established ethical principles and norms relating to all parties involved in the publication of Socio-Economic Analyses: authors, reviewers, the editor-in-chief, the deputy editor-in-chief, the editorial board and the publisher. The journal has a Board of Independent Reviewers. All submitted materials that successfully pass a plagiarism check in the StrikePlagiarism.com system are directed to anonymous double peer review. Reviewers are randomly selected by the editor-in-chief of the journal according to the thematic focus of the submitted research.
