Abstract:

Financial innovation, the development of the fintech industry and the use of alternative financing methods are the main motivators of the development of financial markets. The purpose of the research is P2P lending platforms and their role in financial markets as one of the most widespread alternative financing methods in developed countries and identifying opportunities for their use in developing countries. The research is based on primary and secondary methods and shows that lending financing through P2P platforms is a dominant model of alternative financing in countries with developed financial markets, and the evolvement of financial markets in developing countries is determined by the use of alternative financing methods and represents a more favorable place for the launch of P2P platforms
