Abstract:
The report examines the work of the American architect Peter Eisenman (b. 1932), focusing on his critical
approach, presented as a process of emancipation from the conventional grounds and relationships, defining the
architectural form. The creative searches of Eisenman are represented by some of his landmark architectural
projects, and considered also in the context of the critical controversy, which it causes. The development, although
dedicated to a theme relating to a particular practice in architecture, sheds light on a wider discourse around the
idea of the form and its self-reflection in the plastic arts.
