Abstract:
Art education has been changing over the past decades. Finding itself in a situation of increasingly dynamic changes, it encounters the problem of its relevance. These changes related to the Postmodern situation that art education is facing impose challenges to be overcome. The article presents а brief overview of this situation and a description of the principles that have become the basis of the postmodern movement in art education. Specific elements that can be distinguished are noted and how these elements are reflected in the art curriculum in Bulgarian schools.
