Abstract:

In my article, I have tried to examine the effect of the computer programs for operation with mouse and graphics, belong to the consumer environment Comenius Logo on the development of learn activity of children belonging to the preparatory group. For this purpose, I have introduced the computer, whose possibilities to enrich the game environment are much bigger, in the traditional game means. In the process of children’s operation with computer, I have found an increased cognitive and intellectual activity on their behalf and striving for creativity during the games. The increased emotional activity of children has contributed to activate their cognitive processes, which leaded to easier adoption of the cognitive contents comprised in the compute r programs for operation with mouse and graphics. All this, together with the results from the ascertaining experiment, gives me the reason to consider that computer games contribute to the development of thinking and to the learn activity of children.
