Abstract:

The research of the “orientalism” phenomenon received its detailed theoretical argumentation in the sphere of humanitarian sciences and conveyed in the sphere of music it gives an opportunity for showing a new aspect in the consideration of the works of the Bulgarian classic composers. A lot of musical compositions from the first half of 20th century on musical and technological level show a complex panorama of decisions which are part of the synchronous field of analogical activities in the West European music, but at the same time show the specific creative individualities of the authors. Precisely this shows that the creative reflection of the oriental nature of the Bulgarian composers does not come directly from the East (in contrast to the sphere of entertaining music), but it is in the light of the European views.
