Motivation and Demotivation for Learning

Abstract:

This paper analyses and summarises the results of the questionnarie given to university students about foreign languages they have learnt up to now. The main question discussed is their motivation for learning FL, based on a series of factors. One of the most important of them is the possibility of building up knowledge by learning the same language from the beginning of school to this moment. Breaking off tuition in one language or restarting learning a language already studied demotivated the students to a great extent.
