Abstract:
The paper presents the results from an online survey with 17 Bulgarian occupational therapists. They shared their experience while working with students with writing difficulties, indicating their strengths and the barriers they face. The research findings describe some common tendencies in the development of pediatric occupational therapy in Bulgaria with a focus on the role of the occupational therapist in multidisciplinary teams supporting students with special educational needs. Based on the research, initial guidelines are provided for establishing the occupational therapy profession in the field of inclusive education.
