Abstract:

In todays dynamic and rapidly globalizing world, people are turning to diverse and innovative ways to acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies, with formal education increasingly giving a way to informal learning. Economic and technological changes also encourage people to voluntarily, independently or trough informal learning, acquire new professional knowledge, skills and competencies, including in the workplace. The validation of professional knowledge, skill and competences allows the skills that individuals have acquired in life at the workplace or through independent learning to be recognized and certified and increases the competitiveness of individuals on the labor market.

Keywords:

validation, informal learning, professional knowledge.
