In the article, the reservists’ organizations in the Yambol District (and more precisely the “Union of the Front Soldiers“) in the second quarter of the last century and their role in the town’s social life are presented. In 1937, a group of military officers patriots who had retired from active service, established in Sofia an organization of reservists named “Union of the Front Soldiers“, which united mainly veterans of the wars for national unification. The organizational life of the “Union of the Front Soldiers“ – Yambol in the period 1938–1944 is studied on the basis of documents of f. 6 of the State Archives – Yambol.
