Резюме:

The Ottoman conquest had a profound effect on the social structure of Bulgarian society, and the massive movement of the population manifested itself in large internal migrations. Abduction into slavery, the expulsion of the people from entire settlements, and the forcible change of religion were intended to limit the composition of foreign ethnic communities within the empire. The difference in the Bulgarian cities is determined by the policy pursued during the rule of the Ottoman Empire, depending on each town’s role in the Empire’s government systems and the obligations related to the collection of taxes and protection of specific public order of each territory.
