The establishment of the Turnovo Archdiocese changing attitudes on Bulgarians towards Patriarchate of Constantinople and Ohrid Archbishopric. The act of creation of Turnovo Archbishopric marks the beginning of stepwise process of development and affirmation of the church in XIII–XIV century, which reaches its culmination – raising Turnovo Archbishopric to the rang of Patriarchate
