Dealing with Students'Aggressive Behavior at School trough Art and Drama

Abstract:

This article aims to present a theoretical analysis of the problem of aggressive behavior during childhood and adolescence. It examines its nature, causes and determinants in light of the considerable increase in instances of bullying and violence in schools nowadays. In addition, two main methods of psycho-pedagogical influence, which can reduce aggressive behavior and improve the psycho-social climate in school, will be presented – art by means of art therapy and drama by means of psychodrama. The role of art in the development and formation of a student’s personality will also be examined, as well as art’s therapeutic effect on students for abreaction of traumatic experiences and establishing emotional balance.
