Abstract:
In the book review I argue that the new book of prof. Vesselin Petrov marks a new starting point for ontology in Bulgaria and also that it makes a crucial scientific contribution to the field of applied ontology as a theoretical discipline aimed at solving practical issues. The book makes a profound analysis of the hierarchy of ontological domains, studies the philosophical and conceptual conditions of applied ontology as technology, and exemplifies the fruitful methodological role of process ontology in the construction of applied ontologies.
