Abstract:

The article aims to offer a brief review of linguistic intelligence, a part of Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences. While intelligence as a whole is being defined as a rather general mental capability, linguistic intelligence is broadly defined as the ability to easily and precisely operate with words, both in oral and written interaction. Depending on the degree this intelligence is developed, as well as on the purpose it is used for, the quality of one’s life could significantly improve- or unfortunately, decrease.
