Abstract:
The worst loss which a person can experience in his/her life is the death of a loved one. The emotional reaction of grief in the event of loss of a significant person for us has regular stages of progress, different duration and psychological characteristics related to coping with the difficult crisis situation. In the event of death of one of the parents, the child must continue his/her mental development in the absence of an important and significant figure in his/her life, which may lead to the emergence of mental disorders. The probability that the child will overcome grief without going through a post-traumatic stress disorder depends on the support and behaviour of his/her relatives on the one hand, and on the situation of the loss of the parent on the other hand.
