The identification of the so-called “creative districts” as a strategy to stimulate creative public potentials interests those who manage cultural policies both globally and nationally. It is indisputable that, thanks to the emergence of creative districts and regions, common interests are shared by artists, businesses, and local authorities. The characteristics of these areas considered in the article suggest specific possibilities for the planning and identification of creative districts in the city of Veliko Tarnovo, as well as the challenges to this.
