Abstract:
In the spring of 1989, while digging for a yard shaft in the village of Smin, was found a grave, which was eventually destroyed. It was later ascertained that it was an inhumation burial, oriented west-east, with ceramic pot placed by the legs of the buried. The type of pot gives the opportunity to date the whole grave in the pagan period of the First Bulgarian Empire. It is also possible to assume that this grave was part of a (biritual?) necropolis, where the inhumations were oriented from west to east.
