The article used Old Bulgarian (Synodikon of the Bulgarian Church, Beadrolls of the Bulgarian Tsars, Old Bulgarian apocryphal and apocalyptic writings, Old Bulgarian translation of Zonara’s Chronicle), Byzantine (Ioannes Scylitzes, Ioannes Zonaras, Ioannes Staurakios), Latin (Gesta regum Sclavorum/ Choronicle of Duklja, Lupus Protospatharius) and Arab (Yaôy al-An¾ÂkÓ, al-Makin) sources about the events in the Bulgarian Tsardom during 1014 – 1015.
